FOUNDERS & LEADERSHIP

A resident and 28-year business owner in the Hood in an area known as Beland-7 at his shop on 7 Mile at the corner of Beland known as Jones Collision. The shop built shortly after WWII was a service shop for Fiat, four bays, a paint booth, and a 2nd floor mezzanine office space. Next to the shop is vacant lot that the shop has used for several decades now where Mr. Jones looks to acquire in due time.

Mr. Jones is a highly skilled artistic painter creating very high value paint jobs (exceeding $50,000) for cars and trucks that are at the very top of the industry. Metal preparation is at the root of every paint job. In the Hood Mr. Jones works with his neighbors to help them with their cars look their best at the lowest cost possible.

In addition to cars he has dreams of creating high end bike parts that are custom creating a sense of great pride for the owner/rider. He also, has dreams of serving his neighbors with a “pimped out Ice Cream Truck” with a Food Trailer to create a unique experience, especially for the little ones.

Ultimately he wants to help the youth start several businesses they can earn an income from and help them stay out of harms way, to experience a life well lived with great pride that includes a vibrant faith in Christ loving others each day all along the way. It is in that style he believes Neighbor will be rejoined to Hood making the Hood in which he lives today into a true Neighborhood.

A technologist / business strategist / visionary / entrepreneur Mr. Michael Relph with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan, was/is surrounded by many very strong personalities physically, mentally, and socially was formally taught starting at the age of 3 the family legacy of music and leadership of over 400 years and quickly became a skilled vocal trainer and leader starting at the age of 7.

His first professional business consulting opportunity at the age of 8 years old in front of the CEO of Detroit Edison proved his intuition of numeric patterns by uncovering significant errors in the middle of that year’s proof of their annual report much to the utter shock of the CEO.

God’s providence allowed Mr. Relph the opportunity to attend a business event Mr Willie Horton, Detroit Baseball Legend’s home in the summer of 1996 where they became great friends and allies to support the plight of the youth in Urban America who have nothing and cannot support themselves where in fact man die decades before their time.

After discovering Mr. Jones’ heart, his capability, and his plight stepped up to assist Mr. Jones’ business and ultimate vision he had for his community in the Hood, using his Grandson’s title for his papa – Hero in the Hood.
